About Our Client
Our Client is an award-winning nationwide water hygiene solutions provider and off the back of an excellent 2023 and Q1 2024, is now looking to add to an already overperforming team based in the Midlands.
We would like to speak to experienced, highly skilled and detail focussed Legionella Assessors/Water Hygiene Engineers that are looking for their next career step.
As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating water systems to identify potential risks and develop strategies for the prevention and control of Legionella bacteria. This is a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals who may be exposed to Legionella in various settings.
About you
Essential
• Industry accredited qualification in Legionella assessment
• Full understanding of HSG274 & ACOP L8 guidance and regulation
• Minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience:
– Legionella risk assessment
– experience as a water hygiene engineer
– carrying out regular water hygiene monitoring tasks
– hygiene-related remedial works such as TMV servicing and CWST cleans and disinfections.
• Enhanced DBS
• Full Driving License (no more than 3 points)
• Reliable & flexible as occasional travelling and overnight stays (at the employers expense) will be required.
• Able to work under pressure
• Able to be professional and presentable at all times – you will be the face of the business!
Desirable
• City & Guilds Thermostat and Mixing Valves certification
• Unvented G3 Certificate
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Legionella Risk Assessments across a range of client properties
• Water sample collection
• Temperature monitoring of hot and cold domestic water systems
• Disinfection and descale of showerheads and hoses
• Water tank inspection, cleaning, and disinfection
• TMV servicing
• Checking and monitoring chemical dosing systems
• Producing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork
• Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients
• Have good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Be proficient in using IT packages (training will be provided on our in-house system)
• Administrative duties which will include the use of a phone/tablet to log your work tasks.
